Batista underwent ligament splicing surgery (Tommy John surgery) on his right elbow on Tuesday, according to MLB Trade Rumors, which covers major league news.
This was already announced. Batista went down in late August with an elbow injury, and Baltimore announced the surgery on Aug. 1.
