Manchester United is struggling in the English Premier League (EPL).

Last season, United won the League Cup and finished third in the EPL. Coach Eric ten Hagg’s leadership was widely praised. Local media and United fans hailed the arrival of a true successor to Sir Alex Ferguson. They were excited for the next season. There were high hopes that it would be a true resurgence of the club.   

But this season, the Red Devils have fallen back down. The Red Devils have dropped to 10th place in the league with a 3-4 record this season. After just one season, the opinion of Van Gaal has changed, with many turning their backs on him. His leadership is being questioned. There are even reports of players who are unhappy with his leadership.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Lion King, has taken a swipe at Van Gaal. 

Before taking over at United, Van Gaal was the manager of Dutch side Ajax. He was recognized for his leadership skills, leading the club to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarterfinals.

Ibrahimovic also has experience with both clubs, having played for Ajax from 2001 to 2004, where he became a world-class player, and United from 2016 to 2018.

Ibrahimovic added: “The color depends on how much time you give the manager and what the owner wants. “But at United, there is one thing for sure. They want to win, so they don’t have a lot of time. They are a team that is used to winning, and they still want to win.”
